Mcdharyl Evra The Top Yield Farming Platform For 2024

2024 in general was a lackluster year for yield farming. However, there was one yield farming platform that definitely caught my attention. The yield farming platform that I am talking about is Aerodome finance on the base chain.

There are a few reasons why aerodome is in my opinion the top yield farming platform for 2024.

#1 It is on the base chain - The base chain is an ethereum layer 2 that uses Ethereum to pay for transaction fees, but because it is a layer 2 the transaction fees are 100 times cheaper compared to the ethereum layer 1 mainnet. These low transaction fees make it possible for individuals to yield farm, even with small amounts of capital, and still see profitable returns.

#2 Aero token has high liquidity - At the time of writing this post (9/16/2024) the aero token has over 40million USDC deposited into its liquidity pool. This is extremely important, because a yield farm is nothing without having a highly liquid yield farming token. #3 Decent APR - At the time of writing this post aerodome finance has between 6% - 18% apr on stable coin pools. USD stable coins are currencies pegged to the dollar, so you can almost thing of it as receiving a 6% - 18% return just by depositing your dollars into a bank. These types of returns are not usually seen in the traditional financial market.

#4 Decent Business Model - Aerodome is also a decentralize exchange on the base chain. The more transactions that the dex receives, the more fees it will collect, which will go towards supporting the aero token as well as the yield farm. I say that is a decent business model and not a great one, because typically transaction fees on decentralize exchanges are typically not enough to sustain the high APR for a long period of time.
